CategorEase is an AI-powered Excel add-in that automatically categorizes your transactions using a large language model. It accurately handles the vast majority of your transactions straight out of the box, saving you the manual effort of categorizing each one.

Unlike the other two tools on this page, CategorEase runs inside Excel as a plugin rather than as a standalone program. Because it isn’t distributed through the Microsoft add-in store, you load it into Excel yourself by sideloading its manifest — a one-time setup. The download below includes the manifest along with step-by-step setup instructions for Windows 11.

Tiller Data Copy Tool

Copies data from one Tiller workbook to another. It copies the contents of the four Tiller Foundation Sheets (Transactions, Balance History, Accounts, and Categories), along with the custom columns included in the Cashflow & Networth Analysis Workbook if they exist in the source workbook. Helpful for upgrading workbook versions and initial data import.

To use it, run the executable and drag your source and destination workbooks into the console window that pops up.

Duplicate Removal Tool

After copying your data into a fresh spreadsheet and running the Tiller add-on’s fill tool, Tiller doesn’t recognise the new sheet and re-adds every transaction, creating duplicates: the copy you already categorised, plus a fresh uncategorised copy.

This tool finds those duplicates and deletes the uncategorised copy, keeping the categorised one. It prints a per-month report of everything it removes, makes a timestamped backup of the workbook, and asks for confirmation before saving.
